Stamford Chamber
"The Queen of the Catskills" is the gateway of the Western Catskills. Stamford and the surrounding communities comprise the area of "Utsayantha Country"; so named for the mountain that generates the Princess Utsayantha legend.
Known for its five seasons of fun for everybody; from hang gliding to snowmobiling Stamford has it all. The area has a sport for every season, and the most glorious fall foliage, antiquing, culture and music events, shopping and a host of other sightseeing and of course that down home relaxed atmosphere.
