Shaver-Hill Maple Farm Nestled in the beautiful hills of Delaware County New York, Shaver-Hill Farm boasts a long tradition of creating fine maple products. The Shaver family started making maple syrup here in 1912. Son Gaylord Shaver carried on the family business with the help of Dennis Hill, who began work here in 1959. Later, in 1984, Dennis and wife Barbara Hill purchased the farm from Gaylord. The Hills continue the family business tradition--sons Dwayne and David grew up on the farm and were involved with the dairy and maple enterprises from a very young age. Shaver-Hill Farm is dedicated to making sure our customers are 100% satisfied with their orders. All of the products shown in this brochure are produced and packaged on the premises. Your satisfaction is guaranteed when ordering any of the products offered here at Shaver-Hill Farm. If you are not completely satisfied we will replace your order, or refund your money. Shaver-Hill holds an annual Open House at the height of the sap run in mid-March. Family members explain state-of-the-art syrup production and demonstrate how they make such specialties as maple cream and maple cotton candy. Visitors can enjoy pure maple syrup on hot pancakes, sample unusual maple recipes, and view a collection of historic artifacts of the old-time syrup business. Special group tours are available throughout the year by appointment. Shaver-Hill Farm is also a dealer-distributor for Leader Evaporator supplies and equipment.
